My Dad Got Married!

We had a very special Easter this year as we took the kids and returned to our home town of Lintlaw, Saskatchewan to do the wedding ceremony for my father Jim George and his bride Linda. We had a fantastic time and I was able to meet Linda's family who had come mostly from Fort McMurray and Nova Scotia for the event. We were really excited to find out that they too are believers in Jesus and the first night we had a lot of fun just getting to know our new family.

Linda then went the day before the wedding with her sisters and friends and went and decorated the hall. That small town hall didn't know what hit it! I doubt it has ever looked so beautiful. Linda had transformed it into a storybook fantasy. If you need a wedding planner I highly recommend you hire her. It was amazing!

The wedding was absolutely wonderful. Linda had actually requested lots of Scripture and even her choices in music were so honoring to the Lord. It was really a touching ceremony that impacted many of the attendees.

That evening my kids along with all of the other children had treats as the Easter bunny visited. They also were given special treatment at their own center table and many of the events had been planned with the kids in mind. They danced all night and sang songs to the bride and the groom. It was an event they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Conference and Grad

We had an amazing time at the Generations Conference with C. Peter Wagner who is only one of the greatest apostolic voices of our time. He has written 70 books and is the founder of Wagner Leadership Institute. Totally awesome!!

We got to hear speakers Tonny Barnett who Pastors a church of 25 000 people in Pheonix and his son Matthew who pastors the Dream Center in LA that reaches 35 000 people every week. Many of them are famous people that you would recognize as well as ministering to the poor in his city. He reaches gang members, pimps and prostitutes and pulls children off the streets to raise them in their facility. What a powerful testimony. You should check out his book "The Church That Never Sleeps."

If that was not cool enough we also saw Brian Houston. Maybe you have heard the song "Shout To The Lord." It was featured last week on American Idol by the way. He was there as well. He only has 25 000 people in his church and has changed the Australian culture. No big thing.

But the best was Peter Daniels. A Christian billionaire who makes Donald Trump look like a sissy. Corporations voluntarily pay Millions for 15 minutes of his advice. He taught us on success principals in four one hour sessions. You might want to listen to those on CD like yesterday. We have also ordered a exclusive package of all of his lifetime teachings for the use of our people in the coming months. It is like a 100 years of information on how to own a business, negotiate with the bank, make a business plan, and numerous other things that we only dream about in somebody else's brain. He was totaly WOW! I can't wait to see how these things will change the way we do church and the way we build up others to success. Blessed to be a blessing!

And lt us not forget our graduating members whom we are so proud of. Cherie Lynn Halvorson received her Master's Degree for practical ministry with WLI, and Edwin Wiggers received his Assoiciates Degree for practical ministry. Congratulations to both of you!

Foothills Team Meeting

These gals are watching intently trying to figure out what Naomi (age 8) is acting out in a game of charades. The tension was high between the men and the women and Edwin tried to challenge Faye to a tie breaker by arm wrestling. But she declined. She had heard that Cristela beat him the night before and she did not want to injure him further!

We shared some really good laughs as Zech tried to act out "laughter is the best medicine." There was also some really good food and fellowship.

We felt that this month we would not try to be so SUPER SPIRITUAL and just have some fun. After all "Joy" is a fruit of the Spirit of God. Amen?

Next month the Calgary and area groups will be meeting for a joint Team Meeting once again. It will be held at Glen and Laura's on April 26. Potluck starts at 5:30. 1940 27 Street. Our focus this month will be on missions. Don't miss it!

Also there is lots of new stuff on our new website. Things are being added daily to the women's, men's, and children's groups. So go check it out! The site name is now officially

Calgary Team Meeting March 29

We had so much fun at our Calgary Team Meeting. We laughed so hard playing charades and acting out Scriptures. Bill got "a live dog is better than a dead lion." He did a great job, and it was hilarious watching everyone take a try.

We had a lot of good visiting and getting to know one another in this smaller setting as well. We had decided to split up the regions for this one meeting so the Foothills groups met separately.

Thank you Anne for hosting us. You did a lovely job as well and many of our people commented on the warmth and friendship that they felt in your home. Multiple blessings upon you, and upon everyone who attended. In Jesus Name.
